Mourinho will become the "Sir Alex Ferguson of Chelsea" and stay at the club for at least 10 years, according to his agent Jorges Mendes.
Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge in 2013 having left the club six years previously when he went on to
manage Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
He was linked with Manchester United following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement two years ago - with Mendes claiming the Old Trafford club should have opted for him over David Moyes - but ultimately completed his comeback at Chelsea.
Mendes said: "Jose will stay for sure. He will be the Sir Alex Ferguson of Chelsea Football Club. He loves the supporters, he loves the city and I think he will stay there for more than 10 years."
Chelsea have impressed under Mourinho this season, with the club top of the Premier League, in the final of the League Cup and also in the knockout phase of the Champions League.
One of the few blemishes to their season so far came in the FA Cup, where they were defeated 4-2 at home by League One side Bradford City.
The Premier League leaders are next in action at Aston Villa on Saturday, when new signing Juan Cuadrado could make his debut after signing from Fiorentina on deadline day.
